I...AM...DONE!!!

     So i few days ago i finished reading the last book in the Alex Rider series Scorpia Rising  by Anthony Horowitz and let me just say I really liked it. Having spent a couple of months (I think) on the series from scorpia to this book I really started to connect with some of the characters and it made me very upset when... well... never mind I won't ruin the book for everyone who hasn't reads it. But when this certain event occurred near the end of the book it was hard for me to actually believe and I had to read it over and over again to make sure i didn't miss anything.

     In the book many unexpected things happened and they shocked me very much but what I was thinking about most was how bad all the people in this series behaved. I thought a lot about how this would effect me if I came across any person who would want my organs or actually start a war. I don't know what I would do. I would fight back but not as cleverly as the main character Alex Rider would. This series taught me to observe my surroundings and use anything that I could as something to defend myself, kind of like when Alex used a fire extinguisher to... well... again won't ruin it. (yep I'm doing this on purpose).

     Anyway the villains in these books have similar goals and now that i have finished the series I can compare every one of them. In all of these books they all wanted to do something illegal for their own personal gain. Not necessarily for money, but for joy. Many of these villains wanted to do something either to Alex or some other person/thing because that other thing, person or Alex did something to the villain that made him upset or angry.

     These villains in these books all have somewhat of a certain goal and I wish there was a little more variety in the books but overall, it was a very good series to read.

Finally I am on the last....um... oh. Book!

     Alright so as you can see unless of course you cannot read english that I am on the last book of the series of Alex Rider. I just started reading the last book Scorpia Rising  By Anthony Horowitz and I must say that so far it isn't very promising, but then again I just started.

     Anyway In my book so far there has been a huge battle in the Museum of London and about 17 out of 50 soldiers have died a rather weird way in war. Many of these soldiers were injected with the tip of a very expensive cane. So during this battle the museum was destroyed and many innocent people were killed in cross fire. This just made me think a lot about how in some cases during war casualties are allowed and many important places are allowed to be destroyed.

     And when are these things allowed in war? What do the circumstances have to be in order for this to be allowed? In the recent killing of Osama Bin Laden casualties were not allowed and the U.S navy seals made sure that they wouldn't be any. And the United States government decided not to bomb the compound so many important pieces of information was not destroyed.

     So... When are these protocols allowed? As I said before do the circumstances have to be too high? Do the circumstances have to be save the world or allow the world to be destroyed (Which seems to be a lot of the cases in this book), and why is this person in the book so important that this was allowed to be taken, and a wonderful museum allowed to be destroyed.

     Alright so I took a break from reading Crocodile Tears and  read the 2nd book in the harry Potter series The Chamber of Secrets  By  J.K Rowling. But I'm back to it again and plan to finish the series before the end of May.
    
     Anyway in the Last chapter I read Alex the main character just escaped a GM laboratory (genetical modification) and he stole some computer files and a sample of what they were doing. However to acquire this information he had to grab and run. And by doing this he ran into the Poison Dome. A place where they experiment on poison organisms and make the about 500 times more deadly. I found it rather strange that the the people who own this laboratory left the door to such a deadly place open for anyone to aimlessly walk right into this dome and unfortunately puff up and start to well die a very painful death.

    Just this small detail  really made me start to think a lot. Why can some people be so heartless to their employes and allow their conditions to be so bad. I found a theme among my blog posts and many of them have something to do with greed and money. Well sorry people this one is about that as well.  People care so much about money that they are willing and actually do treat their workers as trash.  Just for some money.

     Well now that I think of it. The idea of Greed and money is actually a big idea in this entire series. Is this series suggesting that all bad people come from the sin that is greed? And if not why does every book, or at least almost every book have a reference of these two ideas?

     I wonder...

Relating to class work...

     Alright so in my book Crocodile Tears by Anthony Horowitz there is a lot of talk about ethics, and what's right and wrong in this world. Let me just say that this blog was inspired by that long conversation about ethics during class and the very good but sad movie known as The Cove  Or as Theo calls it The Cove 2: revenge of the dolphins.

     Wow i got off track there

     Anyway in this entire series, every book starts out with the main character, Alex Rider, is always stuck between whether or not to get involved with either MI6, the CIA, or the FBI and help them save the world once more. Alex never wants to go on the next mission but he always ends up getting involved only because of what would happen if he didn't. Even if this may be very subtle it really made me think a lot about how some people in this world don't really care about anything but themselves. The ethics of some people whether it's in the real world or just in a fictional story such as Crocodile Tears.

     Ethics are what is right and wrong in this world and to everyone it is different. Some people may think differently about ethics but I believe that anyone in this world knows if something terrible is done to an innocent person than it's wrong. And I'm sorry for saying this but if anyone thinks that someone should blow up the united states for revenge on someone who bullied you in school they are just very messed up. In Crocodile Tears  Alex is always drawn back to the life of a spy and I think that he is right in trying to save the entire world even if it means risking his life.

     I think that these people are worth a little more...

    

You Are Greedy... This Is Bad

     This book actually took me a lot longer than I thought it would but I have about 60 pages left so I am almost done. But anyway in my book Snakehead by Anthony Horowitz In my book I just finished reading a part about some guy that works for this terrorists organization know as the Snakeheads who wants a 14 year old boys organs to sell for over 2 million dollars. He doesn't care anything about the actual child but just on making money.

     I think that is really well... messed up, and I think that this man is nothing but a crazy person that again, only cares about money. There are these really greedy people out there in this world that just want more and more they never stop wanting everything. The reason that there would be a "Global Warming" (and I put that in quotes) Is because people in this world just want more and more and are trying to get more than they actually need to survive on this planet. They are using up all the resources and this is why we may be in this crisis.

     Anyway this greed that some people have is effecting more than just themselves as they might think. Greed is considered one of the seven deadly sins in Christianity and it is really obvious why. People that are greedy are normally the ones causing trouble if there is any kind of trouble happening. Greed leads to nothing good in life and it only causes trouble to everyone around you. Whether it's Snakehead or some big industry owner, too much greed can and will cause life long sadness and or suffering for whoever has committed it.

     You need to know your limits...

Save the Penguins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Revised blog for ELA)

     So.... at the moment I am reading Ark Angel by Anthony Horowitz, basically what I'm using in that book to base my blog about is that in the book, there is a multimillionaire named Nikolei Drevin that wants to build a hotel in space, but in order for the hotel to actually get up past the Earth's atmosphere, an entire ecosystem must be destroyed and all the organisms there will all get killed. There is this group of people called Force Three that want to preserve and save all the ecosystems on Earth and will stop at nothing to prevent the take off. Even if that means kidnapping his son and chopping off his sons finger, killing the stars of Drevin's Soccer team, or just killing Nikolei Drevin.
    
     I do realize that that was a really long retell but anyway to get to the point this book really makes me think about what some people in this world would do to get everything their way. I'm not talking only about saving ecosystems but almost anything in this world. Don't get me wrong I would hate to see all these innocent animals get slaughtered there but i do think that there are other solutions to many problems in this world.

     I find it really weird how some people get their way in this world. Babies cry and scream to get  something, little kids do almost the same except mostly just the crying part, and then there's these people who will kill or hire people to kill if they lose an argument about something they think is important. Throughout history there are these  people who way to far for these things that they want. The assassination of Lincoln, the assassination of Martin Luther Kings Jr. And those are only 2 examples but what these people do is just too unbelievable.

     I don't think that there are any higher species in this planet that we call home. And I certainly don't think that to preserve the over populated human race we should destroy this Earth for more generations to come. Personally I think that we are all to greedy and that;s why groups like Forece three are forming. If we did a better job of preserving this Earth and only using what we need, we can save millions of lives from eco-terrorists or the lack of resources that we need to survive.

     Getting back to the book this group called Force Three killed hundreds of people just because they were doing their job. Fore example, they shot a receptionist in the head because he wasn't allowed to tell them what hospital room a patient was in. And even when he told them out of fear they still shot him. I say that yes you have to go to some extremities to get something done right and for the right cause but this group didn't realize that while attempting to do something good for the Earth they are just harming more then they are actually trying to save.

     Sometimes you just have to know when to stop...
